- When the Microsoft Word 2010 program loads,
your screen will look something like this.
TIP: If you have seen previous
versions of Microsoft Word, such as Word 2003, you will notice that at first
glance the screen looks different from the way Microsoft Word used to
look. Don't panic however, you will find
that in fact it is not all that different, and is in many ways easier to use
than older versions.
- You will find that if you move the mouse
pointer over icons at the top of the screen a help popup is displayed
explaining the function of each item. As
you can see Microsoft Word is telling you what the function of this particular
button is. Try moving the mouse pointer over the Change Case icon and you will see information about this icon, as
- Experiment with moving the mouse pointer over
other icons and you will get information about what they do.
