In which countries are your training materials used? How long have Cheltenham Courseware been trading? The company has now been providing quality training materials via our website since April 1995.


Do you provide interactive, Computer Based Training? No. We stick to what we are good at and do not try to be ‘all things to all people’. Our training materials are used in over 80 countries and we have an enviable client list.


Do you sell individual courses rather than the entire library of courses? Are the courses supplied on DVD Data Disk or do I have to download all of them when I first subscribe to the Courseware Library?

Can I order online? Yes. To order online payment must be made using a Visa or MasterCard credit card.


Can I order using a purchase order? We allow official educational organizations, charities and well established companies to order using a purchase order. You can always order online using our secure ordering system.


What currencies do you accept? UK Pounds, Australian Dollars and US Dollars.


Our school/college/University has a number of physical locations throughout our town/city. Do I need more than one site license? In most cases a single site license will cover a school/college or University, even though the institution may be spread out over a number of physical locations within a city. If in doubt, contact us prior to purchasing your courseware.


Do you sell individual courses rather than the entire library of courses? Yes.


Are the courses supplied on DVD Data Disk or do I have to download all of them when I first subscribe to the Courseware Library? When you first subscribe to the courseware library, you get a DVD Data Disk containing most of the existing, available courses. As new courses are released you will be emailed download instructions as to how to download them.


What course titles are included in the ‘IT Courseware Library’? NOTE: No ECDL Courses are contained within the IT Courseware Library.  ECDL / ICDL courses are available separately.  You get the rights to all of the courses contained within the ‘IT Courseware Library’. To see a full list of training courses included please click here. You also get the rights to all new IT courses that are released as part of the ‘IT Courseware Library’ for a 12 month period from the date of purchasing your License. At the end of the 12 month period you are able to continue to keep using ALL the courses that you have received up to that point. If you wish to continue to receive new courses for the next 12 month period you need to purchase an ‘IT Courseware Library Site License Extension’. This costs 50% of the normal price of that site license.


What updates are included and how do I get them? You are entitled to download 12 months of updates and new courses from our web site. This means that all the new courses released as part of that Courseware Library, for a period of 12 months from your date of purchase will be available for you to download from our web site. You will need to provide an email address so that you can be informed when new courses are available. You can always check our list of current courses.


Do you provide different editions for North America and Europe? Starting with the introduction of our Office 2003 training materials, we now offer separate North American and European editions of the training materials. The differences include items such as paper size, spelling, post/zip codes, place names and more! We have also re-formatted our entire back catalog to produce page size specific versions for North America and Europe.


Can I use the training materials to deliver ‘Distance Learning’ over the Internet (or Intranet)? Many trainers use our manuals for tutor-led training sessions, followed by the students using the workbooks to practice the knowledge gained during the training session. The manuals are an excellent reference after the course as they have a ‘how to do’ format.

In some cases organizations use our materials to supplement Computer Based Training packages. This is an excellent, low cost additional training resource!  In other cases organizations use our materials as a library for self study or open study at a site.  Remember with most of our courses you get:

  • A training manual
  • A workbook containing examples that can be performed by the student
  • Slides covering the major topics within the course

Schools, Colleges and Universities may use the materials on a secure Intranet/LAN to be accessed LOCALLY by members or students of the institution. No commercial training companies are allowed to place any of our materials on the Internet! If we find such examples, legal action will result!


Can I add my organization’s name and logos to the manuals? Yes. (You must leave the Cheltenham Courseware copyright notice on each item that you use).


Can I remove the Cheltenham Courseware copyright notices from the manuals? No. All materials supplied by Cheltenham Courseware remains copyrighted to Cheltenham Courseware, and must be clearly indicated by a copyright notice on each item used to that effect.


Can I resell the manuals to third parties? No. You can sell the manuals (at cost) to anyone who physically attends a training course run by you at your training center. This does not cover third parties or distance learning schemes.


Can I act as reseller of your training materials? No. Sorry, we only sell direct and do not use resellers.


Can I really teach as many people as I want using the training manuals within the Courseware Library? Yes, provided you use the training materials to teach only those people attending a training course at the site for where the training materials are registered.


Is there an annual renewal fee to use the courses contained within the Courseware Library? No. Once you have purchased the Courseware Library, there is no annual fee to keep using the materials that you receive during your first year of subscription. At the end of that year you may continue to keep teaching using these materials without additional cost. If you wish to keep receiving updates and new courses at the end of your first years subscription, you can pay an optional ‘courseware library subscription renewal fee’, which will allow you to continue downloading new courses. This optional ‘subscription renewal’ price is around 50% of the normal price of the initial one year subscription price.


How do I continue to get updates to the Courseware Library’ at the end of the first 12 months subscription? During your first 12 months subscription to the Courseware Library, you get free access to updates and new courses as they are released by Cheltenham Courseware. At the end of this period you need to pay a Courseware Library subscription renewal fee (which is around 50% of the regular fee), in order to continue to receive new courses. These courses are made available via download from our web site.


Can you supply printed manuals rather than us having to print the manuals ourselves? No, we do not supply printed manuals. You can either print the manuals yourself or use a local printing service to do this. This also allows you add your name and logos prior to printing.


What is included with each course? Most of our courses include a manual, workbook, work files and a set of instructor slides. You also get HTML file formats. more info


How do I know when new courses are added to the Courseware Library? Once you purchase a ‘Courseware Library’, you will be emailed when new courses are available for download.


If I edit the manual, can I update the ‘table of contents’? Our manuals are produced in Microsoft Word which allows you to edit the documents and then automatically update the table of contents. more info


Are the Courseware Libraries suitable for instructor-led and self paced or open learning? Different clients tend to use our IT training materials in different ways. Some deliver tutor-led, classroom based training while others use the training materials purely for open, self paced learning. Many clients combine the use of our printed training manuals with computer based training packages supplied by other courseware companies. This last combination adds enormous value to computer based training and gives the students a valuable reference to keep (and use) long after the training course has finished!
